Methyl Bromide is an odorless, colorless gas that is used to control a wide variety of pests in agriculture and shipping, including fungi, weeds, insects. roundworms, and rodents.
Indoor agriculture growers also use methyl bromide by injecting the gas two feet into the ground to sterilize the soil before crops are planted.
Is Methyl Bromide flammable?
Under increased pressure or below 3°C, methyl bromide is a clear to strawberry colored liquid and is usually shipped as a liquified, compressed gas. Methyl bromide also has a boiling point of 38.5°F.
