CO2Meter team members in Florida recently had the opportunity to see and learn how carbon dioxide is used throughout the brewing process, and have some fun too.
CO2Meter sponsored a meeting of the Volusia Manufacturing Association (VMA) at the Ormond Brewing Company in Ormond Beach, Florida. Formed in 2011 by local home brewing enthusiasts, Ormond Brewing Company is Volusia County’s first craft brewery.
As part of the meeting, VMA members were encouraged to give suggestions to expand VMA’s presence in the community as they sampled any of the awesome beers.
Personally…. the breakfast Brown Stout was my favorite! The inside tap room and outdoor patio provided great ambiance. While they do not serve food, a food truck with delicious Mexican fare was parked outside during our meeting.
Marketing & Sales Assistant Nelson Jiménez Rosado, Administrative Sales Assistant Shawn Jackson and I were provided with a fantastic tour by brewery owner Justin Robinson.
We learned a great deal about the brewing and fermentation process. Later, Josh Pringle, VP Business Development stopped by to visit and meet with VMA members. Of course, while he was there, he took the opportunity to sample the beers too.
CO2Meter plans to install a RAD-0102 Dual Safety Meter near the bulk CO2 storage behind the tap room, and video tape it to share at the Craft Brewers Conference & Brew Expo America. In addition to protecting their clients and employees, installing the device will give us the opportunity to be the CO2 monitoring solution right here in our own community!
