050-8-0182 eSense Low-Temperature CO2 Transmitter
- Measure CO2 as low as -22°F
- Built-in Heating Element
- IP65 Outdoor Rated Housing
The use of outdoor CO2 measurement is as a baseline to compare against indoor CO2 levels for LEED points is referenced in the LEED standard for Outdoor Air Delivery Monitoring EQ1.2.
The transmitter uses an IP65-rated housing with a built-in heater. The heater ensures that gas samples entering the CO2 sensors are not only warm enough for sensing but also at the correct moisture level. The CO2 levels are then read by the NDIR carbon dioxide sensor and transmitted via industry standard 0-10V or 4-20mA signals to an HVAC system.
The eSense uses ABC (Automatic Baseline Correction) calibration. This algorithm automatically corrects for long-term CO2 level drift, making it virtually maintenance-free.
