“The NFPA Conference & Expo® is one of the world’s biggest and most comprehensive fire, electrical, and life safety events. It's an opportunity to gain valuable insights, meet with industry experts and learn about new products and solutions”.
This statement taken directly from the NFPA website referencing the 2018 Conference & Expo June 11-14, 2018 in Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Las Vegas and it was completely on point! What an amazing and informative 3 days!
We were fortunate enough to walk and talk with first responders and industry leaders, gaining tremendous insight to all that is involved with the MOST important practices and equipment concerning fire and electrical safety! There is no doubt preparation is the cornerstone of fire safety, achieved via clearly defined codes and expectations; approved equipment/devices and thorough inspections. In those unwanted instances where there is a dangerous situation, having the most effectively trained first responders with the state of the art equipment is required. What a great experience, everyone we spoke with was very knowledgeable and passionate concerning fire safety and being informed.
From fire extinguishers, warning horns/alarms, elaborate sprinkler and fire suppression systems, pumps, building and personal safety monitoring/detection, tanks/storage systems, dampers/vents and so much more; the exposure and education into the industry was explosive.
Being aware of the potential hazards of the odorless, colorless, and tasteless gas these areas hold is the first step but having a device to monitor and measure the CO2 is the most important opportunity to save lives.
The primary areas of concern about CO2 in breweries are the fermentation and brite tanks. The massive amounts of gas housed in the vessels can easily overcome an average adult in seconds. Combining massive amounts of CO2 with poor ventilation and you’ve created your own CO2 hazard.
As CO2Meter is dedicated to gas measurement and safety monitoring both inside facilities and for individuals working within these facilities it was a fantastic fit into our tradeshow line up. We can not wait to participate in the 2019 Expo being held in San Antonio, TX June 17-19 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.
It will give us the opportunity to demonstrate the features and benefits of our full product lineup of devices for fixed and personal safety as well as our Fire Suppression Testing units to meet NFPA 12 standards. Sharing ideas, networking and gaining clarification from NFPA code regulations made it such a productive trip!
