CO2Meter, Inc. has joined the National Fire Protection Association. NFPA is a global, nonprofit organization devoted to eliminating death, injury, property and economic loss due to fire, electrical and related hazards.
The association delivers information and knowledge through more than 300 consensus codes and standards, research, training, education, outreach and advocacy; and by partnering with more than 65,000 individuals around the world who share an interest in furthering the NFPA mission.
“CO2 safety codes aren’t just to protect employees and visitors,” said Josh Pringle of CO2Meter, Inc. “When a gas emergency occurs in a building, emergency responders are first on the scene. NFPA recognizes the importance of codes and standards to minimize their risk. We felt it was important to keep informed and up to date on best-practices.”
In addition to working on fire-related hazards, the NFPA has programs to encourage the use of fire sprinkler systems, protect homes in forested areas to reduce the risk from wildfires, and a new program to train firefighters and other first-responders preopare for the growing number of electric vehicles on the road in the United States.
