The RAD-0501 Day/Night CO2 Monitor & Controller is designed to precisely control carbon dioxide levels in greenhouses, hydroponics rooms and other places where elevated carbon dioxide levels are used to maximize plant growth.
The Day/Night CO2 Monitor & Controller lets you set minimum and maximum carbon dioxide levels. When the minimum level is sensed, power is supplied to the built-in piggyback power cord. When the maximum level is reached, the power is turned off. The CO2 Monitor & Controller has a built-in photo sensor that overrides the CO2 control and shuts off the power when it senses darkness. Photo sensor control saves dollars and energy by insuring you’ll only be supplying CO2 during the light cycle when it is needed.
Greenhouse, indoor gardener and hydroponic growers know the benefit of increased carbon dioxide levels for plant growth. Carbon dioxide is just as important to growing plants as light and water for photosynthesis, the chemical reaction that feeds plant growth. Even if a plant has the proper amount of light, water and nutrients, the limiting factor in the process of photosynthesis will be the amount of Carbon dioxide available.
According to the US Department of Agriculture, optimal CO2 levels can result in 20-50% increase yields, faster growth, larger fruits, and greater plant height.
The CO2 Monitor & Controller is easy to install and use. Simply mount the RAD-0501 inside your greenhouse, (all cables and hardware included) and plug the piggyback plug into a standard electrical outlet. Plug a CO2 Regulator / Solenoid Valve power cord into the back of the piggyback plug and connect a CO2 tank.
With only 3 buttons and an LED display, the Day/Night CO2 Monitor & Controller makes it easy to set the upper and lower CO2 set points. To save time and money, it can quickly be calibrated using fresh, outdoor air. A built-in thermometer shows the temperature in addition to the current CO2 level on the LED display.
Use the RAD-0501 Day/Night CO2 Monitor & Controller with an electric solenoid CO2 Regulator like this and a tank of compressed CO2 to quickly and easily give your plants the enriched carbon dioxide environment they deserve.
