CO2Meter was an exhibitor at the International Beverage Dispensing Equipment Association Conference and Trade Show in Las Vegas March 21-23.
If you’ve ever been to a trade show before you know that they all start to look the same. Same layout, look, feel, badges, gimmicks, smells (yes – the smell). Roundtables and breakout sessions. Keynote speakers and bad hotel lunches. It’s enough to drive you crazy. Then multiply that times Las Vegas!
I just got back from International Beverage Dispensing Equipment Association annual conference and Expo at the M Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Let me start by telling you that I did not double down on sensors or try to split Data Loggers. I did however get to meet and interact with the people who work behind the scenes to provide your favorite restaurant or bar with all the products and services needed to install and maintain the beverage systems.
The show is not your typical Vegas glitz and glamor. No fog machines or high wire acts. You won’t hear the “ding ding ding” of slot machines paying out. What you will hear is business owners sharing valuable ideas and lessons from their business with their counterparts in other parts of the country.
You will also hear the voices of these business owners asking intelligent and critical questions of the vendors on display all working to ascertain if their businesses are aligned and a partnership can be formed. Two days removed from my trip to Las Vegas and I’ve already had two inquiries from business owners I met with about purchasing devices from us.
Many thanks to Jesse and Tom from Green Air Supply for showing me the ropes and to our team at CO2Meter for getting me properly prepared for the show.
If you’re in West Palm Beach, FL next spring plan on stopping by the 2015 IBDEA Conference and Expo – we will be there!
