CO2Meter.com has introduced a new 25% Oxygen Level Sensor designed to drastically lower maintenance costs by simplifying the calibration process.
Oxygen sensors are used in any environment where oxygen depletion can occur. This includes liquid nitrogen storage ("cryorooms"), vacuum test chambers, "permit-required" enclosed spaces, or any workplace that contains pressurized gases that can displace oxygen.
In addition, oxygen sensors are used to detect air leaks inside sealed glove boxes used in scientific and industrial processes like light bulb manufacturing.
Because of their critical function, oxygen sensors are normally removed and manually calibrated by trained staff using a voltage meter in a 100% nitrogen environment. Improper calibration will occur if instructions are not followed exactly. Not only is the procedure error-prone, but over time with changing personnel and tight budgets, calibration procedures can become lax, resulting in increased risk to worker's health.
The TR250Z is unique in that it can be calibrated in-situ with the press of a button, and with any gas of a known oxygen level - even fresh air. The procedure requires no knowledge of gas sensing, and is verified using the internal LED display. This drastically reduces labor costs and makes it more likely that regular calibration will occur.
